If we have to recertify every three years, they must be going to update the test, so does anyone know how often they will be updating the CCNA exam?

But surely that wont mean that the ones that get the cert right before the change to 3.0 will have to recert like the MCSE certified are having to do will they?

Cisco is not like Microsoft. The three year recertification time frame you refer to is based on your passing date of the exam. In another words, three years from the date you passed the exam you will need recertify, regardless of the test version.
I have the version one certifications and there is no requirement for me to "upgrade" them to the version 2 although I can if I choose.
