CISCO Press
Is the CCNA 640-607 book by CISCO Press any good for preparing for the exams? Also, can I use the material I have for CCNA 2.0 to prepare for this exam. I have heard that it is practically the same, apart from the hands-on labs that has been introduced in v3.0.
Regards

I have both the book by Todd Lammle and Wendell Odem.
I find the book:
"Cisco CCNA Exam #640-607", by Odem
published by Cisco Press
ISBN: 1-58720-0554
to have better / fuller explanations of the concepts and many more examples.
Though either one will no doubt assist in passing the test - to understand what is going on I'd say the book by Odem is the way to go.
