I just took the Support exam. There are 58 questions, no simulations, and the passing score is 776. I missed by 30 points. IT is the toughest test of the five.

your mileage may vary

Remember Cisco alters these numbers at their whim, that's why they don't publish them. This is what I got and when:

BSCI: Oct 02 Tough test, 57 q's, 1 sim, passing is around 705

BCMSN: Nov 02 Easier Test, 57 q's, no sim, passing is around 775

BCRAN: Dec 02 Somewhere between BCMSN and BSCI in difficulty, only 53 q's, 1 sim, passing surprisingly low at about 705

Support: Don't know, haven't done it yet.

Do lots of people breeze through the first three exams then croak on support? Inquiring minds want to know.

Remote Access 640-605

Remote access

Has sims, 706 passing, 56-58 questions. Sim is Frame-relay setup.

Hint: when you ask for help by typing question mark, the only commands you can use are in black. If you don't know the whole command type the part you know then a space then question mark. Your options are in black again.

Hello,

CIT is tricky because they use ambiguous wording on the questions. For some of them in my exam I had no idea what the question was asking but I managed to work out an answer by eliminating the two that were obviously wrong, then re-reading the question a few times followed by the two answers that I had left.

One answer then seemed more approproiate than the other...

Poke'n'hope is what we called in when I worked for BT and it must have worked as I scored over 900 in the CIT.

I think that the CIT isn't just about knowing Cisco stuff, it's about how you manipulate your knowledge the get an amswer...

Regards
Peter

Just passed the new BSCI exam with a score of 720. The score needed was 700, btw know your ISIS stuff up/down left and right...

I recommend taking the BSCI course before thinking about taking this exam. Also take the boson pratice tests they are well worth it.

57 questions
700 to pass
