filter emails going to a particular domain
Hi All,
I have the following question:
Is it possible to filter all email going to a particular domain
(mydomain.com) and have it sent to another exchange server through a
connector, and have the second exchange do the processing?
TIA,
EOrtega

Re: filter emails going to a particular domain
Yes it is possible, what you can do is setup an SMTP connector with an
address space of the relevant domain i.e. mydomain.com and on the general
tab (or the first tab, I am doing this from memory and cannot remember what
it is called) of the connector have it forward all mail to a smart host and
put the ip address of the server that you would like to do the processing in
[] i.e. [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] and all outbound mail should route to this server.
You could select multiple servers by seperating the ip addresses with a
semi-colon.
This should mean that all mail except mail to mydomain.com will go via the
normal channels.
I don't think I have forgotten any configuration steps.

Good, let me know if you get problems setting it up or getting it working.
