Whats a good and possible free router sim....
Ready to tackle a router sim but not sure which one is the best for CCNA.
Any suggestions? Free is best but work will pay for one if it comes down to
it.
Thanks
Sharon

Re: Whats a good and possible free router sim....
I haven't heard of any free ones, but, then again, I haven't really looked.
The Boson simulator worked fairly well for me, but no simulator can replace
time with a set of routers, switch, etc.
http://www.boson.com/netsim/details.htm
The full version costs US$150. There is a free demo available, but I'm not
sure of the limitations.

Re: Whats a good and possible free router sim....
I looked at the free demo. Basicly you can look at what they have already
setup but you can not conifg the routers (config t is disabled). Also, on
the part I was looking at, the lines to the 5 routers were down.
Over all I thought it looked like a very good product. You can setup 50
equipment items, they had labs to work though using the routers... If I had
the $$ to spend I'd get it.
Good luck,
rv
