NVidia graphic driver for linux -- fast 3d, slow 2d ?
I recently installed the NVidia kernel module and GLX module. When i
installed it, 2d applications works slower, but 3d apps work fast. If i
load the old module(nv) in my XFree config file, 2d is much much faster,
but gl stuff does not work...
Any suggestions ?

If you really feel that it is necessary, cross-post.

Quit your bitchin' and READ, newbie.
RFC 1855
Netiquette Guidelines
http://www.dtcc.edu/cs/rfc1855.html
Contrary to your limited experience, I *am* helping you by letting you know
that mutliposting a question is NEVER acceptable. If you want your question
to go to two or more groups, you should *crosspost* it instead.
Before you post again, Read this as well:
How To Ask Questions The Smart Way
http://www.tuxedo.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
That'll save everyone time and energy.

Re: NVidia graphic driver for linux -- fast 3d, slow 2d ?
In alt.os.linux Kostko enlightened us with:
> what is wrong with sending a question to two groups ?!?!??!?!?!?!
A lot. People won't know that others may already have answered your
question. You are thereby asking them to waste time trying to help you
while it might no longer be needed. Never multipost. If you want to
learn more about what (not) to do on Usenet, read
http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc1855.html
> and you are very useless by replying with such dumb messages.
No he's not. He's trying to teach you some netiquette, although he
could have posted the above URL for you.

With your attitude, do you actualy expect technical volunteers, who give
up their personal time to answer your questions, to help you?
You will either learn the rules and drop the attitude, or go away.

blabbered:

Suggestions on what?
You seem to think we should know what you want to happen on your system...
*hint:* we dont...
Having said that my thoughts for any nVidia issues would be to check if you
have AGP enabled/disabled in the kernel and how you use the 'nvidia' driver
in /etc/X11/XF86Config
