Re: CID Exam ?
Hi Guys,
I have my CCNP, CCNA, and CCDA - And want to get back in studying and
get my CCDP, All I have to take is the CID exam, But a couple of days
ago I heard that the CID will chage into the other exam (can't
remember the name) and a couple of newer areas are to be added to keep
the material current with the times.
Does anyone know the name, and more importantly where at this time to
get material for the new exam?
Or
Should I just grab the Top-Down CID, or the Cisco press or one of
those books that have been talked about so much in the past on the
message boards?
As another side note should I just go after the CID and sit the test
before the final date to take the older exam which is like in a couple
of months.
Thanks in advance for your advice.
-Justin

Re: CID Exam ?
They announced the CCDA beta exam, but the retirement date for the CID
has not yet been announced. If you have your CCDA, you can still study
the current CID material and take the exam before Summer 2003 (since
the current CID will probably not be retired before that date).
Heres the new CCDA exam:

Re: CID Exam ?
The CID exam is straight forward. As long as you are up on your
frame-relay, ISDN and routing protocols you should be fine. I used the
Sybex CID study guide and passed it last November. Must say though that it
was my lowest scoring CCNP/DP exam with 822. Flew all the rest with 950+
so there is some tricky stuff.
Good luck
