Failed It First Time
I thought that I would start this thread for anybody else that has failed 70-216, whether it be your first time taking it, or your 10th.
Let's see what everybody says as far as what their thoughts were on what caused us to fail.
For me, studying subnetting and DNS weren't enough. There weren't any subnetting questions and not much on DNS, other than the security aspect of DNS, and dynamic updating.
Got quite a bit of CA and monitor questions (Network & System).
So hopefully we'll hear from some of you.
Thanks.

This is a tough test, which most people fail on the first try. So far you are par for the course
I know some very gifted Network Engineer who failed that test on the first try. no shame in that.
It's how you rebound and go for it that will tell you what you are made of.
let us know if we can help!

Tanks
Thanks, freak.
I appreciate the vote of confidence.
This time, I'm giving myself over a month (except for Christmas week, of course )
I'm studying my butt off right now with the MS Press book & quizzing myself with Testking.

While the exam is fresh in your mind:
Go to the Microsoft Training and Certification site and review the skills being measured for 216.
Try to isolate the top three topics that you had questions for that gave you trouble on the exam.
Do focused study on those areas.
Spend some time in the lab working on those areas.
Retake the exam in no more than two weeks to a month, unless you were not comfortable at all with the exam.

Just curious, I noticed that you've taken 218, but 216 is not listed. Is there any reason why you decided to take 218 before 216?

I missed this one on my first try, and I'm glad I did! I learned some much more than if I would have barely passed the first time. It's only failure if you give up. ($125 notwithstanding)
