Well, a source on the net says... "no, you cannot access a database while it's being backed up". He says that is the norm anyhow, but there are applications/ways around it.

hi czeddie

wel i am not a master in sql .
but hoping to be.

as far your question. if i am not wrong.
a user can run the query when the dbase
is backed up.

the back up system reads the transaction
log and marks the check on it before
a dbase is backed up and again it read
all changes which have been written to
log from the time a backup has started
and backup the log also .

that's how it happen if i am not wrong

regards
naresh
