Certification Salary Calculator
Has anyone else calculated what their certification "should" be worth in their area, according to http://www.certmag.com ?
Very entertaining.
It says CCNA's in my area are earning $56,000/yr. Well, this CCNA is earning all of $7.50/hr!!! Of course, that's not in networking. No one will hire until you have experience. Sound familiar???
I've offered myself up to the corporate gods as an UNPAID intern, and no one is interested. Call me bummed out. Just don't call me late for dinner!

hello,
it's the time of year I think. IT recruitment always goes flat in December/January and picks up again by March each year.
I'm currently looking for work, anywhere in Northern Europe, anything related to network cables, telephones, etc, permanent or contract, any salary considered...
there's not much out there.
I'll give it until the first week of January and if it's still the same I'm buying some gear (haven't decided what yet) and I'm off to the local market to at least earn 'something'...still got bills to pay!
Regards
Peter

So out there in Europe are you allowed to travel between countries without passport or filing tons of papers to move and live in different parts? Hows that work there? I just ask because of the fact that you said anywhere in Northen Europe. I would just htink it would have to be fairly simple to move around if you are willing to work anywhere in northern europe.
