Question about I-Net+

I-Net+ certified professionals,

Which book(s) would you recommend?

Is the Sybex - I-Net+ Study Guide (2nd Edition) Groth, McGee sufficient?
What is it lacking?

Regards,

V

Hi Vanis:

David Groth's "i-Net+ Study Guide" (Sybex, March 2002) is an excellent
choice, IMO. I also highly recommend supplementing the book with commercial
exam simulation software from either http://www.measureup.com/ or
http://www.selftestsoftware.com/ .

Good luck!

Re: Question about I-Net+

Thanks Tony. I placed an order today.

I noticed you're Security+ certified. That's cool. One of the first? Was it
what you expected?

Hi Vanis:

I took the beta exam in early September with no problems (I studied with an
ebook from http://www.alphageekproductions.com/ and Shon Harris' CISSP
book). It's a pretty solid security exam, judging from the beta. While it is
probably necessary to have the knowledge/experience equivalent to both
CompTIA's A+ and Network+, there isn't much overlap.

By the way, you may also wish to monitor the alt.certification.i-net-plus
newsgroup. Good luck!
