Spid's Tue (12/3) Win2k Pro. QoD
I am very sad today My Windows 2000 is just not performing too well. I've created a Peformance log which reveals the following:
Processor: %ProcessorTime: 95
System: Processor Queue Length: 3
Memory: Pages/sec: 10
PhysicalDisk: Avg Disk Queue Length: 1
Paging File: %Usage: 25
I don't know what I should do to improve performance. Would you please help me?
(Select the Best Choice)
A. Add a 2nd Processor
B. Add Memory
C. Replace the Hard Disk with a bigger, faster one.
D. Increase the size of the paging file.
Good luck and see you tomorrow for the answer!!

Holy smokes Spid! 95% processor time? Plus, the processor queue length suggests the processor is the limiting factor. Paging file% and Avg.Disk queue length looks alright which removes answer C and D.
I'll go with answer (A) Add a 2nd processor to help those numbers of yours.

Hmm, well buying a second processor would only take up the time if it overflows(i think)
Memory to me, wouldnt seem to work.
Harddisk...not really.
I'll have to default to increasing the paging file(D)
Mind you my experience with Windows200 is minimal, but I like participating
