Passed It!
Hi All,
Passed The Beast today!
Lots of DNS,DHCP,RRAS,VPN,RIP and CA questions. All I've got to say is that you can not over-prepare for this exam. The amount of knowledge required on each subject is great and I still encountered a few head scratchers.
Lots of scenerio questions with choose all that apply were throw at me, but I handled them without too much trouble. You really need to take your time and re-read the questions a few times.
Materials I used to prepare were:
The MOC (solid as usual)
ExamCram (not that great)
Windows 2000 White Papers - DHCP, DNS, CA, IPSec
TechNet Knowledgebase Articles Q234320, Q255999, Q249868, Q130642, and Q253169
The Windows 2000 Server Resource Kit
Understanding IP Addressing - http://www.3com.com/other/pdfs/infr...n_US/501302.pdf
Transcenders for 70-216
Hands On lab with 2 DC's and 1 client pc
Well that's about it. I'm taking a brainbreak throughout the holiday's and will pick it back up with 70-221 next and finish with 70-217. Network Infrastructure interests me a heck of a lot more than AD so that's why I'm leaving 70-217 until the end.
Best of luck to everyone preparing for this exam! You can do it!

Good job Spid. How many questions did you encounter regarding CAs and routing protocols? Those are my weak areas and I need to brush up on those a little bit before I go in and take it. Gonna check out some of those resources so can you do me a favor and post the links to those whitepapers if you still have them?
I actually find Active Directory to be way more interesting IMO. Thats why I took it after 70-210.

Thanks Slinky! The White papers were included on one of the CD's I got when I took the MOC class. I'll get the links and post them later for you.
Sorry, I forgot to answer your other questions. I got about a handful of CA questions and 2 RIP questions.

What? Only 1 question?
Because of this subnetting I rescheduled my exam for January, 2003 instead December this year and I expect to have more than 1 question!

I thought I'd get more too. But they sure hammered the hell out of DNS, RRAS, and DHCP. I must have gotten 12-14 questions on DNS alone.

Congrats on the pass! That must be a big relief to get that out of the way.

Hearty congratulations on whipping 70-216 Spid! I didn't think you needed to study since you're a moderator and all.
Good luck with 70-221 after your brief break.
