REQ: Assistance with 2502

I am just gatherning some switches and routers to help me put into
practice what I read in my CCNA Study notes.

I have an old Cisco 2502 Router, current IOS is:
IOS (tm) 3000 Software (IGS-I-L), Version 10.3(16)

Which as you can see is rather old. Does anyone know or can help with
and updated IOS so that I can at least use the latest facilities.

Any assistance would really be appreciated.

Thanks guy (and girls)

Graeme

Re: Assistance with 2502

I own one of those as well. If you want to upgrade the Ios, depending on the
ver. you'll need, you will prolly have to upgrade the bootroms as well.
These are a pair of chips that are right on the router that need to be
replaced. They simply pop right out. I got my pair from ebay, then later on
heard cisco may be giving them out. The latest bootrom is 11.0 I beleive.
But post a sh ver and we'll check it.
