Trouble with Maintenance Plans
I can't seem to get the maintenance plan to run. I'm
running SQL server 2000 on a W2K server, connected to a
domain running W2K. The error message is;
The job failed. Unable to determine if the owner
(PANK\Administrator) of job DB Backup Job for DB
Maintenance Plan 'Full Database Plan' has server access
(reason: Could not obtain information about Windows NT
group/user 'PANK\Administrator'. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error
8198)).
If it's of any relevance, the SQL server was previously on
a separate workgroup with a different name and has only
just recently joined to domain.

Re: Trouble with Maintenance Plans
The owner is by default the creator of the job. I think you're getting this
message because the owner is an NT account that does not have rights on the
machine. You can change the owner to a sql server logon or to an NT
account with the appropriate rights. Right click the job and select
properties to change the owner.
