MPlayer and Xinerama???

Can anyone tell me if they have gotten Mplayer to work with Xinerama?
I have just installed Mplayer and I get this error:

gmplayer: relocation error: gmplayer: undefined symbol: XineramaIsActive

Anyway, I don't want to have to disable Xinerama every time I want
to watch a movie. Please let me know. Thanks,

Jason

This is a known issue with newer releases. It is somehow related to the
SDL libs and an unreferenced pointer to them.

There are workarounds, but I believe they are working on a fix and it
should be released soon. If you want to compile the CVS sources from the
mplayer site, the fix should already be committed.

In the interim, you could try not using the GUI mplayer and just run the
command line version which should work ok.
