Pix firewall

I am looking to buy a Pix for home study use....

I see many of the 501s on ebay... I also see a few 506s for a little more
in price...

is there any advantage to one over the other for home lab use?

Are there other units I should be looking at?

Re: Pix firewall

Mark,
I bought a 501 from ebay myself a weeks ago. It has the 6.1 PIX IOS on
it. The seller also gave me the 6.22 PIX IOS I think as long as you have
the latest PIX IOS you should be ok. I know two people through work that
have a 501 in their lab.

Re: Pix firewall

Mark,
I don't think it should. As long as you have the latest PIX IOS or
close to the latest you should be ok. I would imagine the only difference
between the two pix's is the amount of interfaces. Nothing major.
