Where can I get into a Cisco router

Any idea, or IP addresses where I can get into a router and practice commands?

My advice to you would be to purchase a router sim software. Not many people that I know of that would let someone practice on a live router. It has the potential of creating what Microsoft would call "unpredictable results".

I used routersim 3.2(not the dumb sybex router sim but the one that lets build your own network) and r1r2.com. Those two things make a good combo since routersim doesnt support every command I can goto r1r2 to try them out and to get more realistic results. But of course the limits on R1R2 is that you are limited to a set networks.

Thanks, I have gone to R1R2, and it is nice, I know, I know, I haven't cracked the CCNA book yet, but I have gone to a few lab sessions where I am training, and messed with the R1R2 routers to tweak my interest. I will be opening the book next week, when I finish my colleg night classes.

Heres one...

"We have seen websites all over the internet charging big money for using their routers. We don't believe in charging for this service. By using the following instructions you will be able to log into our router using user exec. mode, which is similar to a read only environment. You will not be able to make any changes, but you will be able to execute many commands. After logging in, you can type a ? and hit enter to see all the commands you can execute. There is a maximum of 4 people who can connect at any time. We discovered that if more try to log in than that number the response time is too slow. This should help you very much in passing the test, and get a feel for what a real router looks like, and how it responds. If you are behind a firewall, you need to open up Port 23 out to be able to access.

Instructions:

Go to your run command in Windows and type Telnet. Then hit enter

Go to Connect menu and choose Remote System.

Type in the following address: 209.162.216.149 and then hit enter

You will be prompted for a login password. The password is password.

You are now logged into the router."
