Advice Request
I am currently working as an I.T. Manager in Florida. I have over 4 years of experience working with PC's, networks, web development, etc... I already have CIWA and I-Net+. I recently purchased an A+ book.
1) How much time should I give myself to study before tackling the exam?
2) How is the test set up? Multiple choice, select all the correct answers, scenarios questions?
3) Which exam comes first?
4) Can you take both exams on the same day?
Any advice, trick questions to be careful of, etc.. would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!
Hugh

1) I would say about 1-2 months per exam, depending on how much you already know and how much time you have to study.
2) Mostly multiple choice, some select all that apply, some identify the picture. No scenarios that I remember.
3) Whichever one you register for first.
4) Yes.

You'll do Ok with a couple months on each or less.
Make sure you visit www.comptia.com site for all objectives and go from there.
And stick around this great Forum.
Best of Luck

What book do you have? If it's a good book, you should probably spend a month or so studying, then a few weeks testing yourself on practice tests to be sure before taking the real thing.

there are no mark all that apply, from what i remember. comptia will specify how many to choose in multiple answer questions.
download the objectives from comptia site and keep a copy in your book. mark against each objective as you think you get a grasp of it.
as u have some experience already, i would suggest visiting www.freecomptia.com to let you know how well your knowledge is presently.
i took my core and o/s exams on separate days, as i thought i needed to concentrate on my o/s more.
