Database Status

I had a power failure yesterday and it seemed to have bothered my sql server
a bit. I logged in this morning to find one of my databases in 'Suspect'
mode. Realizing I had not done a recent back-up in attempts to save space on
my drive...(personal lesson learned...always make room for back ups) I
immediatly went into 'Panic' mode. I opened query analyzer and tried to run
sp_resetstatus...unsuccessfully, then I tried a bit of code that let me set
the database status to 'Emergency' mode. I successfully set the status and
exported my precious tables, triggers and stored procs to a new database.
Now that I am in safe waters I am trying to reconfigure everything to normal
again. I am trying to delete the corrupt db, now that I don't need it,
however I can't delete it because there are replication publishers on it.
SO, I tried to delete the publishers but I can't because I'm in emergency
bypass mode...So I tried sp_dbremove...but I can't because "something in
currently using that db" I quote the Query Analyzer (which is the
publishers), so I'm stuck, How do I dump this quick and easy. If anyone has
any ideas how I can just dump this database I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Thanks,
Jenn

Re: Database Status

Jenn,

You probably want to post this to the replication group, since they should know the things to do
to get the replication stuff out in that group. If you need a quick and dirty (and probably
wrong), I guess that SQL Server Agent is holding a connection to the db and that is why you
can't sp_dbremove. Stopping Agent might allow you to remove the db (but the replication stuff
will still be in msdb and where this might info be stored)
