Question

Somebody can help me on that one??

Which web browser setting controls how a web browser receives information and automatically downloads content from web sites??

a. Cookies
b. Security
c. proxy
d. Mail server

On every braindump the answer is Security but on my Sybex book on page 288(question)and 292(answer) it's Cookies.

Thank you!!

I think that it is all in the way you read the question. I would go with "cookies". You would use the "SECURITY" tab to set the "COOKIE" options. The cookie is the actual "SETTING" that you are configuring.

Anyone agree?

Red face

I have to disagree with the book. The question is "automatically downloads content", which to me means ActiveX, Plug-ins and cookies. This is all controlled through the Security settings. I think this is another reason that a lot of reviews of the Sybex book are not favorable.

I'd have to agree with SasiSan for exactly his reasoning. The settings for cookies are throught the security section > custom level. So to change anything to do with cookies you have to go through the security settings.

both of your reasoning is the same as mine, we all know cookies are set through the security section. we are just interpreting what the question means differently, more specifically the word "setting". I think that is where the confusion is stemmed from.

I think you are reading too much into the question. You are changing the Security Settings. I would be careful about over-over diagnosing the questions. I think that is what we do sometimes because we don't have a clue what CompTia is looking for...

I agree. I think that I over-anaylyzed it too. That would be one that I would have missed during the test, and not gave a second thought too because I would have thought I was right without any thought. Thanks for the eye opener.
