This doesn't have to do with the exam, but the topic is certainly I-net related.
I am trying to download software (free evaluation of Win2K Server) from a Microsoft site.
The facts:
I can access other Microsoft sites. Other people can access this site.
I get a "server not found message".
Router trouble at the ISP? I try one of the other ISP's I subscribe to (always looking for a bargain).
Security setting for the browser to high? I lower them to something like "please send me a virus". Still no better.
Any ideas I-Net gurus? Who knows it could be on the exam.

Have you tried dumping your cache and then going to the site? In IE, go to Tools: Internet Options: General. The second section down has a button where you can clear your files. In Netscape, go to Edit: Preferences. Click on the plus sign by Advanced and go to Cache. Clear both types of cache. Your computer may be lazy and just assuming it still can't get to the site.
If that doesn't work, see if your ISP can get to the site. It may have a proxy cache issue. (If you have a proxy server at home, clear the cache on that as well.)
It is possible that there is a DNS server error somewhere, but it is doubtful. See if someone else who uses your ISP can get to the site.
I'm betting on a caching issue, personally.
Let me know if this helps!

Thanks Crescent for replying so promptly.
Yes, I have emptied the cache. I have no proxy at home. DNS problem - maybe but with two different ISP's?
I am going to follow your advice though and try to find someone around here (North Germany ) who has the same server.
I will let you know.
