I was wondering where people got their online nickname from... so how about letting us know?
I got mine -- freak -- when I was teaching at MIT in Cambridge, MA... Long story, but basically one of my students "caught" me reading a Noam Chomsky book and declared me a "freak" on the spot, and all the others in the class kept the name... not very respectful, but cute
I guess it stuck!
So how about yours?

Well, mine is pretty self-explanatory. Randy's my name. I do have two others that I use on occasion, as at sites that require registration, the handle 'Randy' is often taken. I use 'Gsibbery' and sometimes 'NoVomit'. The latter is obvious - if vomit is bad, then NoVomit must be great! Some censors won't allow this, so the other name that is never ever taken is 'Gsibbery'. Don't know where I got it, but somehow it seems to fit.
