I'm a web developer wanting to take the I-NET+, but should I take the Network+ before this or does it not matter which one comes first. Opinions please!

My college had the same problem at the start of the year. We were suppose to do the two courses( i-Net+, Network+ ) but my college did'nt know which to do first. My college decided to do i-Net+ first and then after christmas do Network+. I don't know why they did it, maybe because it's easier !!

The way i am doing it is , A+ Net+ then Inet+ as they all build on one another .Although I am having second thoughts about going for the Inet exam as i am doing Internet support as a job so most of the material i am learning already . Think the Inet+ exam prices are still too high , even with 25% off . Gonna start MCSE2000 instead .
Best of luck to everyone

My suggestion is to take the Network+ first, and then take the I-Net+. I believe the Network+ gives a broad knowledge of terms and concepts of networking technology and the I-Net+ builds on the fact that you have this understanding.

I agree, ComputerMan. About a third of the material in I-Net+ came straight from Net+. I would also do Net+ first, then would tackle I-Net+

I need to upgrade my MCSE before the end of the year 2000, then I will look into getting my CCNA...
