which exam is harder A+, Network+ or I-Net+
I am about to start studying for the I-Net+ and just wanted a feel for how hard it will be. Are there scenario questions or just straight forward questions and answers.

A. Can't tell you which is harder cause I've only taken the i-Net+.

B. No scenario, just straight forward questions.

Hope this help.

Well, I haven't take the i-Net+ as yet maybe in about a couple of days or so,
But Between the two which I have already taken before A+ and Network+ I would say Network + because it is more on indept networking, Routers, Bridge, Hub, switches, cables, host, lmhost, and plenty of OSI questions both Novell and Microsoft also. I heard lots of people that fail this exam wasn't expect it to have soo much netorking problems on the paper. Luckily for me, I pass with 96% (pass mark is 75% correct me if I am wrong)

This is not a question that can be answered. Your question is the same as asking us what car is the best: a Honda Civic, an SUV or a BMW? If you wanna go fast, then I gotta go with the beamer. Gas mileage is an issue? Honda is the way to go. Expecting a bumpy ride? Then the SUV rules!
If you do not hold any of the three, and are new to teh industry, then I would recommend going for A+, Net+ and I-Net+ in that order as they build on each other... Hope this helped

thanks FREAK you are the MAN. I already have my a+ and network+, I have started reading the study book and it is a breeze so far. I am only concerned about how to actually SUBNET A
network, can you explain that to me? i am on chapter6 now and hope to finish reading the study book in about 5 to 6 days. After that I will buy the examcram book. Then I will study cramnotes and other i-net sites like yours for reinforcement. Does this sound like a good plan, I have given myself 3 weeks to a month to pass this exam, so far I am on day 6. I was thinking about doing my CCNA after this, but I really like that comment you made, I will do my windows 2000 cert and then do my CCNA, that way I will be very much in demand by the middle or near the end of next year.

Thank you all for the advice.

Guys, thanks for the kind words. I am happy to see I can be of some help. This is what I love about working in this industry
Anyhow, I could explain you how to subnet, but I guess this forum may not be the best place for that. I will make a how to and will post it on my site. Keep your eyes open

A+ by far! I found the Windows part of the test a little more difficult just because of the wording. I used Mike Myers A+ certification book, and DID NOT use any dumps. scores of 94 & 86 for me!
