1) Can anyone pls tell me if I'd have to know the commands of the diff scripting &/or programming languages e.g. Java, SQL, C++ etc... If I have to, how far should I know? Because in 1 instance, I got a question on a set of commands from a scripting language. I got miffed, since I thought that wasn't covered in any of the books I got (I've "read-through" Mr Groth's Study Guide and Mr Byrne's Study System & I have gotten hold of "..for the Dummies book" just a day ago). The answer to the question was supposedly SQL. I thought learning the languages was good since I'm intent in learning them anyways, (I'd really like to pursue this line of endeavor if I have to admit :-). But I just haven't covered them yet at this time. Or would you suggest that I learn the script/ programming languages first before I take i-Net+ certification?

2) I also have encountered a question like who manufactures routers? I know of CISCO and Nortel. I researched just now & the others are Bay Networks, Ascend, Cabletron & Netopia. (Nortel wasn't part of the multiple choice list but Bay Netwroks was). Will this line of questions also be covered in the exam?

I know these were not anywhere in Comptia's Blueprint outline but since the questions were from a commercial group, I thought it's better just to ask you good guys if there are the "unexpected/s". Or are there any? Thank you very much. Pls bear with me since I had these butterflies in my stomach now. I thought I got the hang of it already ^-^. But I'd say not yet...

1.)The only commands that you need to know are to do with HTML.... don't worry about the others like SQL, XML, C etc. (You only need to know basic HTML commands)

2.)Good general knowledge to know the different types of router manufacturers but they will not ask you this on the exam.

Take a look at the CRAM SHEET that I posted it might help....!

agreed Thor. None of this advanced scripting stuff will be in the test. Isn't that good news
