Well I passed - I have to say I was a bit miffed that many things I studied like OSI Model, Networking topologies, cable... I could go on and on, were not even alluded to in the slightest. (Things heavily emphasized in the Foundations courseware). Granted, there are only 73 questions so you can't expect it all. Some questions were worded ambiguously, no multiple answer questions, no diagrams.
One more thing, right away I was hit with a few tough questions which had me temporarily flustered (I thought "holy cr*p, I wasn't ready for this!"). But I kept going and made it through.
My parting piece of advice is use the "mark questions" tool for any you are uncertain of - I know that reviewing those made the difference for me on several questions.
I supplemented the foundations courseware with the Exam Cram and i-Net for dummies as well as looking at tech resources on the net for topic specific info when I was uncertain about a topic.

Congratulations scottishflower!
I am soon taking my cert. exam too. My first I would say. If I may ask, how are the questions presented if they are not the multiple choice ones? I may as well prepare myself by expecting how I'd deal with them. It could probably be halfway the battle?
Thank you and congratulations again!

I think you misunderstood me - I meant multiple ANSWER - all questions are multiple choice format, but there were no "pick the best two answers" or "d. b and c only"
Good luck on your upcoming and try not to be too intimidated!

Hello, Heather. Thank you for the advice and prompt reply. Please rest assured that they are well taken... I have to admit I have some slight "jitters" but I am not intimidated. Yet... :-).
Good luck to all your endeavors!
