I-Net+ or Network+ first?

My dilemma is that my employer wants me to attain the Network+ and I-Net+ certifications (they are absorbing the cost(s) which is great). However, I cannot decide which to persue first. Does anyone that has written both exams have a suggestion as to which way to proceed? My employers thinks it would be wise to do the I-Net+ and then the Network+ after which they will want me to get more certification. They have indicated that CIW might be in the works as well as MCSE (paid by them).
What I am getting at is, what makes sense from a logical progression?

I would recommend going Network+ if I were you. If you've been around the web for a while, you've probably got a lot in the bag already with what's covered on i-net. Also, taking the N+ first for me, helped me to breeze through the i-net+ exam with ease. Similar topics are covered and I found i-net+ to overlap in some areas of Network+. The N+ exam was more difficult in my opinion.

I've been doing practise exams for the last couple of days and it appears that I score better on the I-Net+ than the Network+, seems to come easier for some reason. I really stumble when it comes to Net+ and I can't understand why. So I guess I will go with my gut feeling and do I-Net+ first.

Network+ is the best way to start, because 50% of i-Net+ is from the Network+ exam. If you are going further in your certification then Network+ is similar to Networking Essentials (Microsoft) and Networking Technologies (Novell). You do not need to do these exams anymore, both Microsoft and Novell find the Network+ exam good enough to wave away the first certificate of the MCSE c.q. CNE certification. Hope this helps to decide.
