i completed sems 1-4 from september - july 2001-2
how hard is the ccna exam i would like to take it soon before i forget everything

Take the test as soon as possible.
I finsished 4 semesters in July also, and I took the test a couple of days ago. I spent about 3 solid weeks of cramming and rereading my material and practicing on router sims before I felt confident enough to test.
If you can troubleshoot, subnet, and know your IOS commands, you should do fine!

check the ccna objectives, when you know all of them, you are more or less ready. Its hard.
