Microsoft should have included any weekend other than July
4th long weekend for the this beta exam. I am not able to
take the exam becuase I was away for the four days and
cannot take exam on week day as it requires three business
hours. They should have planned it well to include July 13
long weekend or have exam on some other weekend. Really
disappointing.

July 4 is not a holiday everywhere the beta is offered. I think one of the
306/316 betas was on Easter weekend too. And the 218 beta was only 5 days -
no weekend at all.

Can you take the exam after work some time? Often test centers at small
airports, which also do a lot of FAA exams, have extended hours for that.
That's the one I have to go to for weekend tests too, actually. I think most
test centers are only open weekdays during 'business hours', so I doubt the
weekend is much of a consideration at all.

They really aren't obligated to accommodate anyone for the beta, though if
it's inconvenient enough they'll have trouble getting enough people to
validate the statistics.

Sorry to hear you won't be getting in on the abuse the rest of us will be
taking...

I missed the 316 exam, but I will be able to take it before the next .net
beta comes along.

I understand MS has a new security exam coming along. I took 220, which is
also security, I hope they will send me an invite for the new one. MS
should have a security cert.

I totally agree. Here's what happened to me:

I was scheduled to take the 71-305 (vb.net web beta) exam on Saturday July 6
at 11:00am. So I do some studying the week before and then I show up on time
and guess what?!?...the office is CLOSED because of the holiday.

I also blame Prometric for scheduling me at a location that was CLOSED for
the holiday. That's just great b/c I won't be able to take it on a weekday
because of work.
