I need to know the minimum Win2000 type of server requirements to
install MS SQL Server 7 (Microsoft SQL Server Standard License &
Software Assurance).

I am primarily looking for the type of OS (Win2K Server, Professional,
BackOffice,etc.). There are too many choices I have for these purchases
and am not quite sure what is most cost effective for about 6 client
licenses.

Do I need to purchase Win2K CAL's for this purpose as well, or only SQL
CAL's?

Also,
From peoples experience how much memory/CPU do I need for about 6
client connections with an average amount of DB accesses.

My understanding is that you need the SQL CALs, but licensing is not my
strong point.
But, naturally there is a web page with links at

Regarding memory and average amount of DB accesses, I don't know how to
interpret that at all. At a minimum I would double the MS recommended
minimum memory. Then watch what happens with your six users and make
further decisions. (This doesn't even get into the disk subsystem which is
affected by how much is happening.)
