Question For STP, how you decide which port is non-designated (blocking) port?

I am studying Todd Lammle's CCNA study guide right now. I have some problem to follow the STP's example. How do you decide which port is non-designated port? Lowest bridge ID's port means non-designated port?

Help! Thanks in advance.

Refer my notes attached.

It is selected automatically though you can manipuate the process.

Please be noted that there are some mistakes in the notes. Please refer original textbook for double-check.

Thanks! It do helps to clean things up. Did you find any error for the Chapter 2 writeen Lab which try to specify the nondesignated ports? I think they may have one error, but I am not very sure.

Thanks!

Sorry, I just used Sybex and Cisco Press, and it was a year ago.

STP process is quite straight forward. Don't worry too much.
