alt.certification.cisco FAQ pointer 27th June 2002 (& news)

Hi All,

Posted the FAQ this week. No changs to last week.

Maintenance on the FAQ is due so the changes to part two are minimal from
the previous version and mainly refer to the new exam numbers.

An edited version of the Cisco emails regarding the CCNP and Cisco MxU
Specialist Certifications are attached.

Take it with a rain of salt department...
==============================
===========

Please note that I have been notified by nrf of some slightly(!) dodgy
material in sections 211.9.x (CCIE recertification).

Until I get around to revising this section, please do not take it as
absolutely correct - refer to Cisco for definite information.

News Summary:-
==============
(11th June 2002)
Cisco MXU Specialization.

(7th June 2002) Update to CCNP exams
An official email was sent to those on the Cisco certification system about
two days after the final day to book the CCNP 50X exams. The edited
highlights are below.

The last day able to book the 50X exams was the 5th of June.
The last day to take the 50X exams is the 17th of July.

(14 May 2002)
Cisco is offering two new Cisco Qualified Specialists focused
certifications, the Cisco IP Telephony Design Specialist and
the Cisco IP Telephony Operations Specialist. - Not in FAQ.

(26 March 2002)
Cisco have announced a new specialization :- Cisco Content Networking
Specialist - Not in FAQ.

(12 March 2002)
The CCNA exam changed from 507 to 607. The method of examination has been
changed to include simulations in questions. The material is the same.

Note:- Simulations WILL be be eventually introduced into ALL exams.

emails from Cisco:-
