Where is the Developer???
I am trying to self-study for the Enterprise Developer track. However, there is not much info as far as books. I checked with Prosoft and they do NOT have any self-study materials for this track. I think the offical guide is more consice if I want to get certified within a short time (I might be wrong). Is going to a computer learning center the only way to get offical materials? And why there is not a lot of people interested in this track (at least not so many topics in most of the CIW sites)?

Don't worry too much about the lack of people who seem to be interested in the CIW exams. They are fairly new and its always better to do something different. I am doing the server administrator exams right now, I am learning a lot so that is more important.
With regards to books - the price of the self study materials were previously prohibitive to may people (myself included) taking up the exam track.. I have purchased a set of 3 to cover the server track from SYBEX - perhaps you should look there for some alternatives?

Thanks:P
Thanks, Paul
I feel like the CIW developer track is more focusing on programming than web. Maybe that's why programmers are not interested in being a Certified INTERNET Webmaster. Also, I checked SYBEX and they don't have any books for developer track. I believe there are lots of sources on the market just don't know where to find.
Thanks again for your thought.

You may want to look further into the Website manager track. I felt the Enterprise Developer was way too much for me. I am currently a web developer and the Web site manager track was a much better choice because it was a mix of programming, networking and web development. There also seems to be much more material for this track (except maybe for the PERL exam).
Good luck....

The Developer track is hard because of the second half (the Java parts). But I still think it's a good choice for a starting (web-)programmer.
About non-Prosoft books: study the curriculum at CIWCertified and buy a few cheap books. Be sure you've seen (and understand!!!) a bit about each topic of the curriculum and you may be ready (CIW doesn't go that deep after all).
GoodLuck,
