I've got a Compaq Evo N600c with a multibay enabling me to boot my Redhat
7.3 (kernel 2.4.18-5) system with either a cd-drive or a floppy drive.
Everything looks fine when using the cd-drive since that was how it was
setup at install time. However when I change my drive to use the floppy and
reboot, linux does not find it. I get a
/dev/fd0 is not a valid block drive

I thought kudzu would detect the difference in hardware at boot time but it
doesn't. Could anybody give me a hint at what to do?

Secondly, this laptop is dual bootable with RH7.3 and Windows 2000. When
booting under windows, I'm able to unplug the cdrom and plug in the floppy
drive without a reboot (the system detects the hardware change). Does linux
support such capabilities?
