Although the Exam Cram book series were usually fairly accurate and
comprehensive, you may have a hard time purchasing a new copy since the
company is now out of business.

Re: A+ Study Book

I wonder if some other publishing company picked up on publishing
the book because Barnes & Nobels has some of the books with the
new testing study material.. I'll check it out.

Thanks!

Re: A+ Study Book

Steve-

As of this week, no one has picked Coriolis (Examcram) up. They've been on
the block for many months now.

Hi Mike
I picked up the 2nd edition at a computer fair around December.
Then I found that there was 3rd edition and purchased that too.
Not even a month later the 4th edition came out. My luck! hahahah.
::I did appreciate the indepth DOS section:: I wanted to share this with the
rest of the newsgroup:
As an old skool dos/basic user, from version 2.10,
so many things that have I learned about made so much more sense.
Especially, the 'real' differences between del and deltree,
move/copying/xcopy and file attributes. After reading ::your:: book. It
definitely clarified and answered some (old how comes and whys) that I have
had for many years. I highly appreciated that.
The All In One is a must have and a must read and its an excellent resource
for the A+ exams.

Re: A+ Study Book

Is this Michael Meyers author of A+ Certification? Well if it
is, I got the 3rd Edition of A+ Certification. The book is great,
but just to big to take to work. Will the A+ Certification ever
come out on PDF on a CD?

Yes, he is the author of the All-In-One book. Personally I hate
reading off a computer moniter for extended amounts of time, but I
guess a CD version would be more portable than an 1172 page book.

I have the 4th Edition and am hoping to finish up tomorrow, just one
chapter left. I really like the book, though I don't have anything to
compare it with. I'm not sure I'm going to get my A+ Certification
even if I do know all the material .. it costs too much and I doubt I
could get a good job without any experience besides building personal
systems. I guess you have to start somewhere though. Where would that
be? Anyway .. I think I am rambling. I should probably go to sleep,
but really I hate sleeping. I could read, but it is too late to do
much thinking.

Oh, I took the first couple tests on the All-In-One CD. I got an 86%
on the Core Test and 66% on the OS Test. Of course, that was before
reading the printer or networking chapters or doing any review so I
should be able to do better. Anyone have any ideas on how realistic
these tests are?

Re: A+ Study Book

Does anyone know what's the difference between the
third and forth edition of Michael Meyers book?
