Will passing 70-215 ensure a pass in 70-210?
I was after some advice.
I have the Sybex book for Windows 2000 Server. Will this book have all the required infomation for studying for the Windows 2000 Profesional exam (70-210)? I thought it might as Win2000 Prof, is just a subset of Windows2000 Server. (Which I passed today but found very difficult).

while there are many overlap, there are differences. compare the exam objectives taht are on the website.
I dunno about the sybex book, so not much help there. But I would still pick up a pro book targetted for the exam simple for the exam focus. But in reality, if you have play with pro/server in home/work, you don't really need the book, so the question imo is hard to answer directly as each person's expeirience is different.
as far as teh topic, whether or not is a given... it is not, or else why would they even bother to have a pro exam?
Sure you can view pro just as a less powerful server, but you have to remember, they perform 2 distinct role in the enterprise.
Anyway, honestly I remember nothing of exam objectives and a bit too lazy to check, so I may be talking out of my XXX, but I did very little pro spefic study, that much I know.

Hey a fellow Kiwi!!!
...surprised you aren't in London with the rest of us!!!
I have not yet sat the exams, 1st one this Saturday, but from what I have read in this forum the last couple of months, Pro is SUPPOSED to be harder than Server. My bet is make up your own mind. Buy the books and do the test questions.
I use Sybex myself, but I won't be for future exams as I have found them technically light and test exams I have done quite frequently cover stuff not in the Sybex books.
Good luck, and hang around the forum! One day I might even see you in the Walkabout! (Others from/have been to London will know what I mean!) hehe.
