Passed 640-507 this Morning!
Brutal is all I can say...
Anyway I used TroyTech and the Boson Testing software.... I can say that the Boson software did help me however I will not waste my money on it in the future. In my opinion the questions were nothing like what I saw on the test... There has to be a better testing software out there somewhere.... As far as TroyTech goes, well I studied it for about 70 hours, I don't think the 15-20 would have been enough for an average guy like me.
Know OSI, And I mean really really know it. Know Subnetting.... That is my advice!

great job man, i think everyone that has taking it knows you have to know OSI like the back of your hand, and subnetting too becuase your on a time limit and can't take forever to write out a subnet problem,,,

Well !!!!!
Maybe 70 hours is a bit of a stretch.... But it was at least 40. It sure seemed like 70.

BOOK
I didn't use any books..... I just followed thru the TroyTech material and the Boson Software. When I came to areas that I didn't understand I jumped on the internet and found more in depth answers.... I consider the TroyTech a study guide and nothing more, It will direct you but some answers you have to find on your own.....

that;s what I thought... that is probably why you thought the test was "brutal"... for anybody else studying for this test, do yourself a favor and read a good book to complement the other stuff listed, preferably cisco press' ICND book...
