recommended book list for Master CIW Administrator
Although I haven't even begun with the Master CIW Administrator exams, I've compiled a book list of books that will be helpful.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...3017556-3129516
Feel free to add other recommendations on this thread. Especially good if people who have passed any of these exams can tell books they found helpful.

Shouldn't Be Recommending Unpublished Books
There are two books that are not published and yet they are on your recommended list.
They are "CIW: Server Administrator Study Guide" by Alan Grayson and "CIW: Internetworking Professional Study Guide" by Patrick T. Lane. Also, it seems that Alan Grayson has not written any book before; this is the first and how can you be sure that it is going to be good and fit enough to be on a "Recommendation List" ??
I do not think that it is proper to "recommend" books that you have absolutely no idea whether it is good or bad.
When someone asks for a "recommendation", he/she is asking for a suggestion of something that is good.

well....
I definitely understand what you are saying. And actually I agree generally. But I thought it was important to mention these titles nonetheless so people would know they are on their way. Maybe they suck (although I've found that certification guides are pretty reliable in their mediocrity). Surely firsthand familiarity with a book counts more than a simple listing.
BTW, if you type "CIW" on Amazon book search, you come up with nothing! (You have to type "Certified Internet Webmaster".
I tried to distinguish between books that I had personally read and recommend and those I was only "familiar with." I imagine everyone has their favorite sys admin books, but I found this book to be among the best:
The UNIX and Windows 2000 Handbook: Planning, Integration and Administration
by Lonnie Harvel (Editor), et al (Paperback)
In USA you could buy it used for about 25$
Not a big release, but it's one of the few books that covers Windows and Unix in the same book. It approaches subjects with the same level of detail probably expected by the Server Administrator exams. It provides not too much detail, but enough to get you to run stuff.

"CIW" Cannot Work at Amazon? Let's Try Again
Hi!
Seems strange that "CIW" could not work for you at Amazon. Try again... Just follow the steps below.
1. Go to the site http://www.amazon.com/
2. You will see Amazon's website... On that
webpage, look to the left, you see
a "Search" label with words "All Products"
below it, right side of which is a
dropdown list button (inverted triangle).
Click on the inverted triangle button and
select "Books" on the drop-down list.
3. Just below "Books" which you selected, is
an empty text box.
Click inside and Type "CIW" (without
the quotes, uppercase or lowercase
doesn't matter) and finally click on
the "Go" button on the right side of it.
You should get a listing of books... Works for me.
