I have never heard of Train the Trainer for one day!! Usually they are at least 2-3-days in length, with most going for 5-days.
I would be a bit skeptical about the one day session. I called the tech center about a 2-day session and they stated it was approved my Microsoft but not Comptia approved. I don't know exactly what that had to do with it. They did not seem to know what they were talking about! I would contact MS, and find out details.
Sorry, can't me more help!

I took a MS approved 1 day TTT course in Orlando. It was pretty good. We did all of the things that were offered in most of the two day courses I looked at.
We ran through the curriculum at a good pace but covered the whole thing and did three presentations throughout the day. What you will find is most of the one day classes only allow for 4-6 students max. This is to be able to give everyone the chance to do their speeches and be graded on how they did. Most of the 2-3 day classes would max out with 12 students. I liked the one on one attention.
Hope this helps.

piece of cake!
I took the course in New York City. It was extremely easy. All we did was sit and listen. A few questions were asked, but that was it. Basically, the instructor told us how to teach. It was a one day course.

My question is does Microsoft recognize this one day course as part of the MCT requirements?
It was my understanding the course had to be at least 3-days in lenghth. Maybe I'm wrong!
I know you must have completed at least a 3-day course during the last 12-months from a CTEC center.
Does anyone know the answer?

You get a certificate and it is recognized by Microsoft
Sorry - I forgot to mention that. At the end of the course, the instructor hands you a certificate and it is recognized by Microsoft.

I did the Train the Trainer course 2 weeks ago, it consisted of half a day theory and then for the second half of the day questions and going over this theory, the everyone on the course had to give a 15 minute presentation and have notes, you were marked on these. The only thing is that we are still waiting 2 weeks later to know whether we passed or failed.
For this Train the Trainer course to qualify you for the Instructor cert, you already have to have training experience of 2 years or more(this is on the micorsoft website).

re: ttt
I guess it works differently depending on where you take the test. For me, it was only one day here in New York city.
