Jumpstart on Ultra5 & Intel ?
Hi All
I'm studying for the Part 11 exams. I'm finding NIS & Jumpstart to be quite heavy. I have an Ultra5 & an Intel box and wondered if it's possible to configure the Ultra5 to be a Jumpstart server and the Intel box to be a Jumpstart client, in order for me to get some hands on experience, using the practise exercises in the Sun student's guide, on Jumpstart and Naming Service.
I have the Solaris 8 OS software SPARC edition, but not the Intel edition. Is there a way to install Solaris 8 on my Intel box? I will be most grateful for any suggestions. I'm totally lost, but i need to have Jumpstart and NIS engraved on my brain before i sit the test soon. I'd rather do it this way than simply cram some braindump somewhere.
Please Help....!
Thanx in advance
Flak
