Jobs
Mostly computer operator data entry and administrative jobs. I got mine cause I am a Certified Novell Engineer and I wanted to "round" out my certifications so I am MOUS, CNE, and A+ certified.

What books did you use for the MOUS?

Do you rememeber? Would be great! I have looked at some books at Amazon but can't be sure about what other people say - it's better to turn to a MOUS like you

it does seem really odd in this forum. the level of activity is rather sloth-like when compared to a+ or general forums, but i guess it goes to show the numbers of people taking specific certs or whether, as a rule, specific cert takers are forum people!

Strictly Secretarial Jobs
These MOUS certs Qualify you for a nice job as an administrative asst.
But can look nice on a system admin's resume.

In regards to the books, I used the MOUS Study Guide. You can buy an Excel 2000 MOUS Study Guide (for instance) that is specifically designed to address the test objectives. I also recommend Learn Microsoft Office 2000, as a rounding out book. Another set of good books for getting a basic grasp of the program for proficient (core) exams is the Step by Step books from Microsoft.

I sat the MOUS Certs because I teach a variety of classes at a local Community Education College. I wanted to be able to prove to the students I had a realistic qualification to do with the software we use.
For study material I surfed the net to find all sorts of different sites with tips etc, I also bought the MS Office 2000 User Specialist Study Guide (G Courter & A Marquis) I found this very useful - it did not answer all my questions, but it was worth every penny it cost me.
I reckon practice was my best study aid, as time is short in the exam.
