How Do You Prepare?
For some dumb reason while taking the Microsoft 2151 class last week I thought it might be nice to go after the MCSA. This week I'm in the 2152 class. I'm hearing that the W2K tests are VERY hard so I'm wondering just how the heck do you prepare for these tests? The MCSA for me would require 4 tests.
Of course, somebody asked if these certifications are worth it. Well where I work they don't seem to care. Yeah I know I could go some place else, but not really I'm 54 and looking at retirement in less than 10 yrs. I think getting a MCSA is for me just to say I did it.
Thanks
Grumpy

First of all, get your A+ and Network+, as they are both pretty easy and can be applied towards the MCSA track. That will also give you some computer basics. Then just study, study, study the MS exam topics. And of course, try to get as much hands on as possible. From what I have heard these exams are not as hard as they are jusst very verbose. But like any test if you know your stuff, you will come out on top. My employer is pretty indifferent about certs as well. Good luck!

I Agree
i Agree get your A+ N+ that is the easier route to your MCSA , you still have to get 70-210 & 70-215 but then you don't have to get another exam under your belt to qualify for the 'MCSA' like the dreaded 70-216 ...Ugh
