Question Tue W2K Professional Question of the Day

After a much needed battery recharge I'm back with a easy question to get you back into the swing of things. And today's poser is:

Q77. During the system files portion of Setup, when you perform one of the following operations:

Running the Windows 2000 Readiness Analyzer
Running Winnt32 /checkupgradeonly
Running Winnt32 and attempting to upgrade.

You may receive the following error message:

WINNT32 this program has performed an illegal operation.
WINNT32 caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 0167:bff88396

Welcome back frank.
O.K. if this is an easy one then I'm sunk.

But I will have a go anyway; I don't think its A or B because you’re through to the setup stage so my guess is D.

I look forward to learning the correct answer tomorrow.

Good luck

I thought you said this was an easy one!

My gut instinct is to go with C or D. The apps listed in D have more of a familiar ring about them so I would probably choose D. Without knowing, I would guess that some of the apps in C are some you made up!

Also, welcome back!

Nice to see you back Frank.

I'm going with "D" as this error message can occur if Quickbooks, Powerbuilder, Cabnetware, or Oracle for Windows 95 is installed on your computer.

I would expect answer A or B from a helpdesk technician! Sorry Samba, I don't mean that to be a dig against you, but against someone who ought to know better! (The temptation to say that was just too great for me to handle!)
