Fri 70-218 Question of the Day...
Easier one today!
Q14. You are the network admin. You came to work this great Friday morning & find out the new multi-processor W2K Exchange Server you installed yesterday in your W2K domain appears to hang up during startup when the "Preparing Network Connections" screen is displayed. You do eventually get into Windows 2000. Choose the 2 best ways to fix this?
A. Delete the lsaserv.dll file & copy a new one from the W2K CD.
B. You silly foo, you forgot to install Service Pack 2! So do it!
C. Delete this registry key! HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Curr
entControlSet\Control\Lsa\
D. The REG_DWORD value of this key is 1. Change it to 0. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Curr
entControlSet\Control\Lsa\Audi
tBaseObjects
Good Luck!

Hey all, hope you all enjoyed the weekend as much as I did! The correct answer is
"B" & "D".
This issue may be caused by an infinite loop when the AuditBaseObjects registry value is set to 1. Possible fixes are to change the value to 0, or to install Service Pack 2. On a side note, the last time a ran into this issue, Service Pack 2 didn't fix it, & I had to change the value to 0 to resolve it. Just goes to show you that the real world likes to mess with you at times!
