I have just recently bought the 1900 switch. I am having one hell of time accessing the switch. I have tried a straight, crossover cables, no luck. I have also tried a serial connection, from PC to switch, I dont think the terminal program is configured properly. I cant even get to the prompt for my password. I have tried telnet, http. does anyone have any ideas

If you are using a laptop or desktop with a serial DB9 connector all you need is a straight thru cable but you will need a null modem adaptor on the db9 end , available at radio shack for about $4 . this will get you in no problem ,also make sure your terminal emulator is the standard 9600,8,n,1 . :-)
