hi everyone
I found this fabulous web site yesterday. I am one of two females in my class.... so far the guys seem to be pretty good... I have a competition going with one of them... I am presently studying to take the I-net+ cert... I am a little scared...I have just embarked on a career change and everything is new to me...I have found lots of information surfing the net... It is nice to see that there is a board to communicate with other people with some of the same issues...
must go study... have a great day everyone...

Welcome to ExamNotes - Nice to see new members. I found the i-Net+ to be the most fun to study for (for me anyhow). If you're new to IT, you might want to also look at Net+ and A+. These are all aimed at entry level knowledge and I found together, the three lay out a great foundation to get into the bigger ponds.

What are you using to prepare for the i-Net+? I don't normally suggest them, but for this exam, the ExamCram book has some great practice questions. I used the Sybex Study Guide and Exam Drill - checked out the Exam Cram at the bookstore the day before I tested. Some of my questions came right from the Exam Cram book. The Sybex book covered all the material nicely - I also picked up another (really expensive) book set that seemed to be more for a formal course structure. It had a lab book that I sat and went through all the labs, creating basic HTML pages, putting in links, creating bullet lists, etc. That's where I had most of my fun studying for i-Net+.
If you have any questions, feel free to post them in the i-net forum or you can send me a private message here at Exam Notes - happy to help.

I-Net+ is a good one to start out on. I wish I had started out with that one, but I didn't. I started out with CCNA. I'm still not studying for that one yet, but I will get around to it eventually. This is a good website to study off of. You should try out http://www.networkdesigner.net also. It is a WONDERFUL site! I study off of there a lot, and that is what has helped me pass my exams. You should try it out sometime!

Thank you for all the information...
I am using a Sybex book, exam cram and have been doing alot of surfing...
I did my final for school on friday and got at least and 85. I write my I-NET+ tomorrow at 2pm...
I have been studying all weekend.. did a few practice tests and seem to be doing ok. It is just the way the wording will be on the cert that I am concerned with...
I got some study notes as well..the only thing is I am not to good at memorizing...I just keep going over everything.
Well I am going to surf some more...seeking out anything I might be missing...
Take Care
Di
