Pls give advise
All,
I need all of your advise on trust relationship between domain. Hope all of you may give me advise, thank you!
I have 2 DC in organization, 1 is DC A (WinNT) located in "contoso.com" and 1 is DC 1(Win2K Server) located in "nwtraders.msft" (forest, right?). All user accounts are authenticated by DC A and particulars resource located in DC 1.
For my case, I need all user account allow to access resource on DC 1 after they are authenticated by DC A (so, I no need to create user ID for them). Should I establish a trust relationship between both domain? How should I do?
Due to MIS dept not willing to give co-operation with me, they ask me to configure a new member server in my domain and join into "contoso.com". Is there a only way or any others valuable advise from you?
Hope all of you may help me on this issue, thank you! Your help much appreciated!

If the 2 domains are in the same forest, the trusts are transitive, meaning, automatic 2 way. Users in either domain can acess resources in either domain, provided you give them the proper permissions.

Erm no, thats actually not correct. If you have an NT domain and a Win 2000 domain, you have to create external one way non transitive trusts between the 2.
