Thu 70-218 Question of the Day...
Q6. You are the network admin, aren't you lucky? Ericka, a user in Accounting, tells you she can't boot into W2K Pro today. You had her try the last known good config, but that didn't help. You find out the computer says NTLDR missing. Her PC uses the NTFS file system. What should you do?
A. Boot from a Win98 floppy & copy the NTLDR to the root of the hard drive.
B. Tell Ericka to throw holy water on the PC, wear garlic around her neck, and move the PC into direct sunlight to kill the vampire inside!
C. Boot from the W2K CD, run the recovery console, and copy the NTLDR from the CD to the root of the hard drive.
D. Boot from the W2K CD, run the recovery console, and run FIXBOOT.
Good Luck!

Wait Techs should not tell people how to kill Vampires I thought most techs were vampires. They seem to stay in dimly lit rooms and only come out of thier office when the sun is down.
My friend Vlad does tell me the correct choice is C though

Whoa, been gone the last few days for Easter. Let's see... the correct answer is B! Ok, really the correct answer is "C". Booting to the recovery console gives you access to an NTFS drive, & from there you can copy a new NTLDR from the CD or a floppy.
