What's new in Netware 6
How drastic of a change is Netware 5 from 6? I know you can get a basic disk of netware 6 from novell for 20 bucks but is there that much of a difference to justify buying and setting it up or is it just a few minor changes?

Also alot of other features updated. Its pretty neat. Now comes with 2 node cluster, can run upto 32 nodes clustered.

I see they finally changed the tracks for CMA,CNE too.

I think it's a well needed shot in the arm. Just hope they advertise it!

Netware 6 Minimum Needed To Install
Sorry for the Typo's thats, network and CNA :]
Also the requirements for Netware 6 are different, minimum needed:
PII or AMD K7
256 meg ram
200mb Dos partition
2 gig sys
Super VGA
USB or PS/2 Mse
I got to install on 196 meg ram, but I couldn't get it to install on anything less than a 10 gig hard drive, so I guess milage might vary.
NW System to upgrade:
NW 5.1 w/SP2 or later
NW 5 w/SP6 or later
NW 4.2 w/SP8 or later
NW 4.11 w/SP8 or later
anything older outta luck. Deployment manager handles inplace and across the wire migrations.

Thank you very much
I was thinking about getting certified in Novell I'm pretty familiar with 5 but I want to learn six. I'm just happy that they've added new features (I'm an Apache fan!)
Thanks for the info!

Have they gotten rid of nwadmin utility and gone strictly with console1 with the release of netware6 or do they still have nwadmin?
